How You Can Help Flood Affected Children in Sri Lanka
Objectives
Fast track
To provide a holistic and developmental psychological intervention for 2,000
displaced children in the Uva province within 6 months
Improve psychosocial wellbeing
Improve psychosocial wellbeing through group-based PSS for at least 70% of
enrolled children.
Build resilience
Build resilience by equipping 2,000 children with foundational DRR knowledge and
facilitating community hazard mapping in identified locations.

Identify individual psychological requirements for child development and
wellbeing.
Data
Develop a database of currently displaced children with useful information
about their mental and emotional condition at present. This database will be
useful for future development plans for child education.
